Inheritance Shares
I have a scenario based question that includes a mother, 2 sons and a daughter.
One son living abroad used to send money to the mother on monthly basis. After few years, mother was able to buy a home with that money and both the mother and her 2nd son are 50-50 owners of the house. Mother passes away. The son who used to send money tells his sister that she doesn’t have any share in that house since it was bought with the money he used to send. Is he right? Daughter’s claim is that she has the inheritance right in the property because 50% of the property was in mother’s name. Even if she has the legal right in the property, is it morally justifiable since it was the brother’s money which was used to buy the house?
