Is tawatur an islamic concept or is it recognised in scientific or philosophical schools? If something is tawatur today how do we know it didn’t start 100 years after the prophets death? What makes us confident tawatur originated with the prophet?

Twatur is a term used for established history. It is a fact not a religious concept. Mega historical events are transmitted through generations to generations through oral and documented narrations.

We know for sure that Alexander the great was a greek conqueror, Plato and Aristotle wrote some books on philosophy which travelled through history to reach us. There was a Roman empire etc. All this is twatur. When the whole community is agreed upon happening of an event it is an established history. It is about happening, not understanding of something.
