  • Polyandry When A Woman Becomes The Head Of The Family?

Posted by Faisal Mahesar on June 3, 2024 at 3:54 pm

Heard Hassan Ilyas Sahab saying in two of his podcast appearances that if a woman wants to take the responsibility of house and family, she can, and doing so she will become the head of the family. So in such case, can that woman have multiple husbands just like a man can have multiple wives while being the head among all of his wives? If she can be the head of the family, then can’t she also be the head of more families from more husbands just like men?

It is not practically possible for her to be wife and mother of two different houses. Giving birth to children and raising them by a woman don’t allow her to do the same job at once for more than one man.

Is it practically possible for a woman to take the responsibility of one house only and be the head of the family and also have children with the only husband? ( Considering husband would raise the children)

Yes it is practically possible. If husband resigns from his post as the head of the family the woman then can take up the responsibility and be the head of the family. However the other aspect of man, the protector of the family doesn’t shift to her as it is something natural. Man is more capable of protecting his family.
