مذکورہ دو رکعت سے مراد فجر سے پہلے کے وہی نوافل ہیں جنھیں عام طور پر سنت کیا جاتا ہے۔ اس کے کچھ دیر بعد فرض نماز ادا کی جاتی تھی جب لوگ جمع ہو جاتے تھے۔
