Cause Of Inflictions
Quran says at one place that whatever bad or good happens to humans, it’s done by Allah. On other place it says that whatever good happens to you, it’s from Allah and whatever bad happens to you it’s because of your own mistakes.
Please could someone enlighten on these verses. I can’t find these verses as I have only heard in audio.

Thank so much for your reply with beneficial information. I have another question.
I watched a video of Salim Khan, Salman Khan’s father. He said that everything is written by Allah for Human beings. I also strongly agree and believe in it. He also said that even the ‘effort’ kooshish is also written. Allah says in Quran that you will get whatever you strive for. Is effort also predetermined?

Everything is not written. To test man with choice of good and evil, on which some will go to Paradise and some will go to Hell, free choice and will has been given. If Allah also writes this part then the purpose of test fails, therefore everything can’t be written. Effort is also done by man to see if he is honest with the choices he make (e.g whether someone will make effort in following the right path or gives up in the middle).

Thanks for your reply. Really appreciate it. My question was basically about effort in life regarding earning livelihood. If Rizq is predetermined that whatever Allah has written our Rizq, we will get it now matter what.
Question then arises why we should strive to earn it. Allah will give us Rizq even if we sit without doing anything. Yet I see people who put more effort in, they earn more money and people who strive less are less wealthy.
Does effort increases or decrease Rizq?.. Allah says He gives more to whoever He wants and less to whoever he wants. Thanks.
