I live in india and it is nearly impossible to avoid consuming flames of agarbatti which are lighted in front of polytheistic idols..Also my parents are Hindu and in my house also I cannot avoid to consume smell of agarbatti….As smoke is in air..nowhere mentioned cannot smell the things which are dedicated to idols..as it will be impossible..only food which directly offered to idols is considered haram..so as per my knowledge food which come in contact with agarbatti flame will not be haram as agarbatti is not food also the flames are not food..is my reasoning correct…this is common practice in india in shops they light agarbatti in front of idols and food is prepared nearby…so as per my knowledge food will considered halal and food doesn’t become haram by coming in contact with that agarbatti flame..as food is not Directly offered to idols…flames which may come in contact with food will not contaminate food as flames are not considered food.
