Dr.Shahzad Saleem is of view that only amount over and above Nisab is to be used for Zakat Calculation while Ghamidi Sahab is of view that if and when the amount exceeds the said Nisab, the whole of the amount is to be used for Zakat Calculation. One can understand that this is ijtihaadi matter by nature & there is nothing wrong if Dr. Shahzad Sahab hold a different opinion, but it was under an impression that Dr.Shahzad Sahab was furthering Ghamidi Sahab’s understanding of Nisab and Zakat Calculation respectively. This has a potential to lead to some big misunderstanding if someone is trying to get Ghamidi Sahab’s take on the matter by listening to Dr.Shahzad Saleem Sahab’s lecture.
