There’s a type of business, where for example I prepare a design and then upload it on a website (gelato) and then link that website to another webstore (Etsy). We display the product on our shop on Etsy. as soon as an order is received, Gelato prints my design on a plain shirt and sends it to address of the buyer and I would get some percentage off of it. is this halal? we don’t own the shirt yet, we only upload the design and as soon as an order is received, the company produces the shirt with my design and sends and we get percentage of sale. The store I display on Etsy is a digital store and the items I display there are not yet formed, they will get formed (not by me) once order is received and would get shipped

A business which doesn’t involve in anything unethical or immoral or deception is halal. This business is manufacturing on order. There is nothing objectionable in it
