    Assalamu Alaikum,

Ive heard that by default things are pure, but I’d like to know:

If we don’t know the purity of something, and there’s a high chance it’s impure (as in, impurity has transferred into it), and a low chance it is pure, should we assume it’s pure despite the low chance?

    JazakAllah Khairan

Still it is condensed pure. Unless something is proven to be impure it is considered pure.

Take the example of open wells. They are very likely to receive filth but the water is considered pure unless a large amount of some impurity changes its colour or smell.
