    If music is halal why did Ibn Masood, the great companion, said: “Never will love of Qur’an and love of music coexist in the heart.”

    Why he said so, it can only be best answered by him.

    he also said many other things which we dont accept. For example surah nas and falq not being part of Quran.

    To us Quran and sunnah are the real source of Islam. If they suggest such prohibition, it will be accepted without any futher questioning.
