  • I Have A Question About The Rulings On Invalidating Wudu (ablution)

Posted by Muhammad Qasim on August 8, 2024 at 6:32 am

While I understand these rules are based on Sunnah, I find them inconsistent with the apparent purpose of Wudu, which is bodily purification.

For example, if someone takes a bath and immediately afterwards their Wudu is broken by passing gas, the requirement to perform Wudu again, including washing the face and other body parts, seems illogical. I am unable to find a rational connection between these actions and the concept of bodily purification.

I am seeking a logical explanation for this ruling based solely on physical purification, without considering psychological aspects. Could you please provide a clear explanation in light of the example I have given? This understanding would help me maintain better discipline in my daily Salah.

    Thank you.
