It should increase satisfaction because God has clearly stated in the Quran the merits on which one will succeed. God is just and Merciful. He will do no injustice.
One must fulfill the obligatory duties of Deen according to one’s capacity. Deen is easy; when there is a hardship, concession is provided. One must abstain from haram, which has been mentioned in the Quran.
If one avoids major sins, his minor sins are forgiven.
If one commits a major sin and repents forthwith, he is forgiven.
Bad acts are replaced with good acts.
Read the Quran and educate yourself.

Mashallah you are lucky. It’s Allah’s blessing that your نفس لوامه is warning you. Listen to that. That is what we all is thriving for.
Recite Quran and do Dhikr when you cannot sleep. May Allah make that day of meeting to our Rab the best for us. And bless us with نفس المطمئنه, Ameen
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ لَذَّةَ
النَّظَرِ إِلَى وَجْهِكَ وَالشَّوْقَ إِلَى لِقَائِكَ O Allah, I ask You for the delight of gazing at Your Countenance and the eagerness of meeting You.
May Allah accept our prayers, grant us all a blessed end, and unite us with the righteous in Jannah.Ameen
