Is using bone char to refine sugar halal? What if we don’t know the source or for sure if it was used?
The prohibition is that of eating flesh of haram animals. If bone char of something haram is used in manufacturing sugar, why should it make the sugar haram? In my opinion it’s like saying that carrots might be haram because cow dung (non-tayyab hence haram) was used as a fertilizer in their production.

So from the video- when the mention is lahm of pig is haram it is just an andaaz of speaking. The point was that all parts of the pig is haraam for eating?
Yes!
But this doesn’t make sense. God specifically mentioned lahm. He didn’t make it unclear that some lahm which has bones on it- it was specific
