To grieve the loss of loved ones is natural, and natural expression are considered and respected. However no unethical or hyperbolic demonstrations are allowed. The prophet lost many of his relatives including his beloved wife, uncles and his son. He wept, prayed for them, kept remembering them for the rest of his life, but never uttered some ungrateful words to disagree with the decision of God.
Also, he forbade to tear one’s cloth or beat his chest or cheeks while mourning.
