    Why was Ilham not exclusively granted to prophets in previous ummats? What was the necessity for it to be accessible to ordinary people, when it seems it should have been a distinctive trait reserved for prophets?

    Ilham is indistinctive guidance from God. This is unlike wahi. God decided to guide His people in addition their intellect.

    Ilham is not taken away. People receives indistinctive guidance from God.
