Javed Ahmed Ghamidi's Departure From Jamat-e-Islami
I’ve read and heard that Ghamidi sahab was expelled from Jamat e Islami in 1977. What was the history behind this ? I’ve never heard him talk about this in detail, except for some passing references. Can someone please provide references from books or videos or some other sources where this history might be found ?

There are no books or videos in this regard. The differences of opinion that Ghamidi sahab has with Maududi sahab’s viewpoint regarding Islam and consequently Jamat-e-Islami are public knowledge. It’s very understandable that at the organizational level such fundamental differences of viewpoint are neither fruitful for the organization nor the individual holding such differences.
