The actual arabic plural of ‘Alim’ is ‘Awalim’. According to Nouman Ali Khan the word ‘Aalameen’ means ‘worlds of people’.

So he says that the world ‘Alameen’ doesn’t refer to differenct galaxies etc- but different worlds of people and cultures etc.

This postulation of his seems not ture. I dont know about any grammatical rule to its support. Contrary to it, we find that the Quran used the word Alameen for non-people world too, in the vers 7:54

in the the word آربعین لیلۃ we see that this ین is used to tell nights which does not include people in it.

Yes but that’s a number. So for an ism he says with ین it should be referring to people. I think for the verse you sent his argument would just be the same

Because does اربعين have a status like Rafa or nasab or jarr?

Yes. It’s not rafa’. It’s nasb or jarr
