Hadith Explanation: The World Is Cursed
Aslam o alikum
Kia dunya malaoon hai jaisy is Hardee’s may hai.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Said:
“The world with all that it contains, is accursed except for the remembrance of ALLAH that which pleases ALLAH; and the religious scholars and seekers of knowledge.”
(At-Tirmidhi)

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Is not the world cursed and everything in it? Except for the remembrance of Allah and what facilitates it, the scholar or the student.”

Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Albani
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا مَلْعُونَةٌ مَلْعُونٌ مَا فِيهَا إِلَّا ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ وَمَا وَالَاهُ وَعَالِمٌ أَوْ مُتَعَلِّمٌ

Well excuse me can you give some example because I am still confused. I have still query in my mind.

I have still query in my mind. for example what about other things such as shopping, entertainment, sports, and work etc. In the term of this hadith the things which I mentioned have no values.

All of these activities are fine in order to sustain the test of this life. However, our focus should always remain on the main goal of our lives which is to get selected for God’s paradise in the hereafter.
