My name is ghaffar ahmed, i want to confirm whether it is a sin to have it as my name (Since Ghaffar is characteristics/attribute of Allah.

There’s no sin in having the name just Ghaffar, however, it would be more appropriate to have your name as Abdul Ghaffar.
