    New Punishment Of Rapists (Castration)

    There is a news circulating on social media that the Prime Minister of Pakistan allowed to cut the reproductive parts of the rapist as punishment.

    Is something like this acceptable in Islam? I mean I’ve never heard that either Prophet (PBUH) or Sahaba did that.

    I am not sure what the basis might be for instituting a punishment of cutting the reproductive parts, but in principle the Muharaba ayahs (5:33-34) would be applied for crimes involving spreading of anarchy.
