    Offering Salah Before Adhan

    Asselamu aleykum,

    Can we offer the Salah before Adhan, when the time of Salah has been started?
    According to the Hanafi fiqh, we could not offer the Salah before Adhan, even if the time of Salah has been started. What is the opinion of Ustaz Ghamidi Sb. (ha), about this matter?

    Kindly clarify.

    Once Ghamidi Sahab mentioned he iftaar his fast before Adhan and his sister got upset. When it is time one can pray without waiting for Adhan.

    Azan is for calling people to congregational Salah (Ba-jamaat Namaz). If one is offering salah individually, e.g. at home, one can offer it when it is time.
