My question is if it is necessary to teach children to read Quran in Arabic?

I am not sure if it’s absolutely necessary, but since Arabic is the original language of the Quran, it has to be preserved in that language. There’s no better way to preserve a text in it’s original language than to have people around in every generation who know that text in that language. That said, this is not a compulsion for every person – what’s more important is to understand and comprehend the message of Quran.
