Does Iddah end after the completion of third periods or before the commencement of third periods? If a husband does ruju during the Ist day of third menstrual period by a text msg that I take you back (they are living separately), is it valid?

Also the husband one time before and several times after giving his wife divorce, renounced Islam several times during arguments but now says that he is still a muslim and said this during periods of extreme anger and desperation. What is the affect of renouncing religion on the validity of Nikkah?

    These are two different questions.

In the first case, the iddat ends with the completion of the third menstruation. During this period, the husband has the right to announce Ruju. He can do it with an SMS.

After Nikah, if a spouse renounces Islam seriously, it does not invalidate Nikah. If either of them wants to end the marriage, it will take its due course.

If the husband claims that he pronounced Talaq in a state of anger and he did not intend to divorce, his statement can be accepted if the wife feels satisfied with his statement, or if the matter is taken to an arbitration, the arbitrator may or may not accept his excuse after examining the situation.
