Scientific Interpretation Of Quran
There is a verse in the Qur’an that says the weakest house is that of the spider. We know that a spider’s web is very delicate, but science also tells us that after building the web, a spider often eats its family members and even its offspring. Similarly, other Qur’anic verses are sometimes interpreted through scientific explanations. Is it correct to do so? Is it appropriate to derive two meanings instead of just one? Is this acceptable?

The principle of simile is that it is not compound. The similarity or similarities are confined to the intended aspect(s) alone. In the cited verse the similie is the weakness of the doctrine of polytheism is compared with th weakness of the web,alone. The rest is not intended here.
Scientific explanation of verses is not a good exercise. The Qur’an doesn’t teach science or claim to have advanced scientific knowledge.
Its miracle is in the diction which doesn’t violate the scientific knowledge in its description of the natural phenomena.
