Islam provides a perspective that when understood correctly should prevent utter disappointments which may otherwise lead to suicidal thoughts. However, if such thoughts do occur, then professional medical and/or psychological help should be sought rather than finding a solution in Islam. Suicidal thoughts are not to be taken lightly. Especially if such thoughts are recurring then one should immediately seek professional help.
