Surah Nisa & Punishment Of Adultery
From verses 15-16 of surah Nisa it is clear that no fixed punishment for adultery was revealed till that time but was later revealed in surah Noor (verse 2). But how does verse 25 of surah Nisa make punishment of slave women as half of free women when surah Noor wasn’t revealed yet?

The Suras were revealed in parts, the description of the verses makes sure that the verse 4:25 was revealed after the declaration of the punishment in Sura Noor and the verse 15-16 were revealed before Sura Noor.
