Traveling For Fun, Delaying Fast
My question is a group of friends are awarded a week trip to northern areas friends during Ramadan. They know that going there means missing some fasts because of traveling. And the traveling is not for work but just mere fun. Should they go there and put themselves in difficulties of traveling hence missing fast?

Deen has not forbidden it. In the following verse, ‘traveling’ is general and encompasses all types of travel.
فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ

@Irfan76 and sir if for example someone stayed awake late and now it’s 2-3 am. He’s certain that now he won’t wake up for Fajr even with alarm. Will he be sinful if he sleeps when he’s certain that sleeping now means missing Fajr?
And what about similar scenario of sleeping in the middle of day while being certain that a prayer would be missed?

In that case, one sins if one could delay sleeping.

@Irfan76 okay sir,
And sir in case of the same person who won’t be able to sleep later or if he sleeps after Fajr the duration of sleep would be way less and he’ll be tired for the day as won’t be able to compensate those hours.
He would be still sinful if he sleeps, because it would definitely deny him prayer of Fajr, right sir?

He should find some other way to fulfil his deficiency of sleep. If he can’t he can put his excuse to God.
The principle is that no one is made responsible for what one can’t do.
