Uncompromising About Shirk
I read a quote by a well known atheist, bertrand russel that “And if there were a God, I think it very unlikely that He would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence”. So, As a Muslim who believes in the oneness of Allah, i started thinking about this that why is Allah so strict and uncompromising when it comes to shirk (associating partners with Him)? I ask this out of genuine curiosity and a desire to deepen my understanding of our faith.

God is not what we assume but He is what He introduced Himself.
Denying a convincing truth, or believing in falsehood without any evidence or knowledge is offensive. This is how what we naturally dislike. This nature of ours comes from God. Therfore He dislike this attitude in people. However He accepts genuine excuses.
God days in verse 30:30 that He created humans on His nature.

Then this principle should apply to every natural behaviour, but shirk is the only thing which is not tolerated.

There are other sins too which will not be tolerated. Murder, usurping otters property and adultary, these sins too incur same displeasure of God as mentioned in the Qur’an.

so even if the person is a believer, they can still be in hellfire for eternity for sins other than shirk if they don’t repent? For example, if a person commit murder and they don’t pay the price e.g punishment, diyat etc or don’t repent, they will be in hellfire for eternity? I thought it was only for shirk when a person is non-believer. Please also share any books or references for this.

Yes, all the Sarkah or rebels will be in the eternal hell, no matter if they are Muslim by name. See the following verses:
4: 93
وَمَن يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا after describing the law of inheritance God says:
4:13
تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ -
Last thing, where do that idea about a believer going to the paradise eventually fit in this whole scenario? Some ahadeeth are there explaining the idea.

The Ahadith are occasional sayings of the prophet whose context is usually missing. Thefore one should not derived independent ideas and directives from hadith. Ahadith have t be interpreted in the light of established principles.
The concession is only for those sinners who deserve it somehow. The above mentioned sinners are rebels and deserve no concession.
