In quran, Jews earn the wrath of God because –

    1. Breaking their covenant with God: They failed to uphold the commitments they made to God.
    2. Denying the revelations of God: They rejected the divine messages sent to them.
    3. Killing the prophets unjustly: They were involved in the unjust killing of prophets.
    4. Claiming their hearts were covered: They claimed, “Our hearts have a covering on them,” but in reality, God sealed their hearts due to their disbelief.
    5. Disbelief and accusations against Mary: They made vicious accusations against Mary.
    6. Claiming to have killed Jesus: They claimed, “We have killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, the Messenger of God,” even though, as per the Quran, they neither killed nor crucified him, but the matter was made unclear to them.

These actions led to their punishment and the sealing of their hearts, making them seldom embrace faith.

My question is – Why did jews have these qualities when they were also having fitrah in them? What were their characteristics as individual and as a group > which led them to execute the actions that led to Allah’s wrath on them?

This question belongs to human behavior. Apart from Jews, the rest of the human beings also show the same traits when they become narcissists, biased, and transgress against others. We have witnessed it in the behavior of Europeans and Mongols in the Middle Ages and of Germans and Italians during the World Wars. Jews are a special case in the sense that their lineage remains intact through centuries, while other nations have diluted to lose their traits.

Jews in their long history had also been good and God-obedient. They had been blessed too.
