This is a matter of everyday observation: if a substance is moist enough to pass onto another surface, it will transfer; if it isn’t, it won’t. When no trace of impurity appears on the other object, no transfer has occurred. One should avoid assuming contamination without evidence, as that only creates needless doubts.

What if a substance is noist enough to transfer impurity but theres no visible traces on the pure object? Do i assume purity then or assume its impure?

And also what if theres 2 wet objects? And what if one wet impure object makes the other pure object wet but theres no colour or smell?

If i dont see any traces of impurity like colour, taste and smell shall i assume its pure?

Yes, assume it is pure, unless you find traces of impurity.

what are the traces of impurity, is it just colour taste and smell?

If the impurity is wet and wetness transfers to the other item would impurity transfer if i dont see any colour taste and smell?

What if the impurity is invisible?

You do not need to investigate the impurity. If there is no taste, smell, or colour of impurity, take it pure. Deen is easy and does not oblige people to bother themselves unnecessarily.

Still, you think the impurity is there, wash it away.

Sorry for asking a lot of questions, what if my hands are impure and wet and a drop from my hands falls on to something but theres no traces on that other item the drop falls on to? My hands were wet from water and i dont believe impurity was fully removed from my hand so was the water drop mixed with impurity and transferred to the pure item when the drop fell on it? This happened a few days ago and i didnt wash it since i saw no traces of impurity on the pure item and im not sure if i did the right thing

When you are not sure, then you are not responsible for letting anything impire stay impure.

You can get rid of impiriy only when you are sure it is impure. In case of impiriy do not use your imagination. Imagination has no limit. Our religious doesn’t like making things hard on you unnecessarily. Deen is easy.

If for example an impurity went unnoticed, you will not be responsible for that. And your prayers etc will be accepted.

Thank you for your replies, I have another question, would food be pure if I were to touch wet food with impure hands but saw no traces on it and what about if i touch utensils with impure hands but saw no colour, taste or smell of the impurity? Shall I consider all of these pure?

The same rule applies, and food will be considered impure.

Apart from your questions, this indicates you are suffering from OCD. You are advised to deal with it by ignoring unwanted thoughts and imagination.

So if i touch food with impure hands its impure even if no traces? And utensils will be pure unless traces are present?

Once you have noticed real impurity falls into the food or water, it makes it impure. Now, if you touch it, your hands are impure, no matter whether it shows traces or not.

But when you have not seen or noticed a thing get impure, now it can only be decided that the thing shows the traces of impurity.

If you can stretch your imagination, nothing can be pure.

In short, consider something impure only when you see it contaminated; if you haven’t seen it contaminated, then it is only the traces of impurity that can tell something is impure. When you do not find a trace, consider it pure. You are not responsible for untoniced impurity.
