Can a husband pay the wife’s zakat if she is not earning and the monthly money her husband gives isn’t enough to pay zakat with and keep her needs met aswell?

Zakat is on savings. If she has savings she can pay from her savings. If it is a thing like gold ( not the jewellery which usually used, that is exempted) or a commercial plot and she doesn’t have ready money to pay, her husband can pay zakat on her behalf if she requests him. However she should pay her zakat on her own.
