Zakat on Gold is 2.5% of its value at year-end (year-end could be any date fixed by you for the purpose of Zakat calculation and it cannot be changed later on). Please go to the Zakat Calculator below and go to item 4 i.e. Assets and write down value of your Gold and other metals etc. in row “Precious Metals and Jewelery“. It will calculate due Zakat.

Please also note that Jewelery for personal use is exempt from Zakat and Assets below Nisab are also not subejct to Nisab.

What is meant by jewelry of personal use. If let’s say 5 tola out of 10 is for personal use then zakat will be on 5 tola only.

Secondly, what is below nisab ? Can you please further elaborate.

Thirdly, personal use means items of daily use or if occasionally wore, can be termed as personal use.
