There will still be un-distributed amount in some cases, when the deceased does not nominate anyone. This un-distributed amount will be shared among near relatives of deceased i.e., Brother(s)/ Sister(s) in the ratio (2:1)
If there are no Sibling(s) left then Prophet Muhammad suggested by his ijtihad that it will go to nearest male relative.

أَلْحِقُوا الْفَرَائِضَ بِأَهْلِهَا فَمَا بَقِيَ فَهُوَ لأَوْلَى رَجُلٍ ذَكَرٍ

Give the shares to those who are entitled to them, and what remains over goes to the nearest male heir.(Sahih Muslim no 3929)
People can follow any approach according to this suggestion of the Prophet based on their fiqh preferences.

Grandson(s)/ Daughter(s) or Nephew(s)/ Niece(s) will inherit, from the share of their deceased Father/ Mother. Deceased son(s)/ daughter(s) will be considered alive while distributing the assets IF AND ONLY IF they have left behind children.

Kalalah Relative: Any relative other than Parents and Children(s).
Note: It is mandatory to mention the brother(s)/ sister(s) of the Nominee Kalalah Relative, as they also inherit a portion despite not being nominated.

Step brothers/ sisters will ONLY inherit from their real Father, Mother, Brother and/ or Sister.

• Assets Breakdown.
• Gender of the deceased.
• Numbers of Relative alive at the time of death.

• Paying back any Debt due on deceased.
• Executing any WILL (Waseeyat) of the deceased.
