Al-Baqarah – 2:260
Arabic
وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِۦمُ رَبِّ أَرِنِى كَيۡفَ تُحۡىِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰۖ قَالَ أَوَلَمۡ تُؤۡمِنۖ قَالَ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِن لِّيَطۡمَئِنَّ قَلۡبِىۖ قَالَ فَخُذۡ أَرۡبَعَةً مِّنَ ٱلطَّيۡرِ فَصُرۡهُنَّ إِلَيۡكَ ثُمَّ ٱجۡعَلۡ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ جَبَلٍ مِّنۡهُنَّ جُزۡءًا ثُمَّ ٱدۡعُهُنَّ يَأۡتِينَكَ سَعۡيًاۚ وَٱعۡلَمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
This ayah makes it seem like Ibrahim عليه السلام was conversing with God- is that true?

Yes! that’s correct. But the nature of communication has not been mentioned in 2:260. In language, we use terminologies similar to having a normal conversation even when it is done through non-traditional means.

Makes sense. Finally- is there any quote from the Quran that would suggest that ONLY Musa عليه السلام talked to God?
