  • Why Did God Create Animals To Suffer?

Posted by A Hasan on December 5, 2020 at 6:53 am

Some people argue that God wouldn’t create animals just to suffer and therefore we shouldn’t eat them- especially now that we may have the ability to do so.

They would say that eg on eid, why did God require you to kill an animal in cold blood- they say it makes him معاذ الله sound like a sadist

Or even better, why did God create humans to suffer?

It would be better. But humans get compensation for suffering in the form of heaven or hell. Animals supposedly don’t. So why are are they made to suffer with no compensation?

Who told you that only animals suffer whatever we eat in one or the other form suffer ..it is just we are not able to sense it. Allah is Just and He must be compensating them in some way that we are not able to sense at this time.

Though I am not an expert this is what I believe

It is not the suffering that we will get the hell or heaven for, but it is willingly obeying the orders of Allah that we will get the hell or heaven for, which animals are not obliged to do so…. Ultimately every soul has to taste the suffering of death. Humans also die and their body becomes the food for another living things.

Well the suffering is the name of the test. If there was no suffering then would there be any test?

Anyway that’s besides the point. People call God معاذ الله a sadist for making animals suffer for no reason

test or exam ke bina to ham log duniya me bhi upgrade nahi hote, jaha tak ham jante hai animals ka environment me kafi bada role hai, agar ham ye soche ke tamam cheeze insano ke liye banaye gaye hai to ye khuda ka shukr karne ki baat hai, hame insano ke huquq ka khayal sabse pehle hona chaheye.

But why weren’t the animals then simply created without pain receptors?

shayad isliye ke ham unhe beja nuksaan na pahuchae or unke huquq ka bhi khayal rakhe

Why do you think they suffer? Suffering is a personal experience. We judge by their physical appearance and movement that they are suffering, but are they actually suffering in their mind. Only Allah knows. He is just, so we should no worry. Perhaps Allah made them for us to look like they are suffering to test out reaction.

But isn’t that a circular argument?

Let’s say an atheist is saying معاذ الله God is a sadist because he is allowing animals to suffer.

Then you say no, God is just, so the animals aren’t suffering.

      Which premise comes first?

Their observation is based on the seen realm. Whereas the very foundation of religion stands upon the unseen. So I guess we’ll take them back to where both of us are drawing conclusions from?
