Qibla Direction
ASA! My question is about the Qibla.
Why all the early mosques i mean starting from 623AD Masjid’e Qiblatain and so on the 11 most early mosque which were built in the Umayyad reign face city of Petra Jordan as their Qibla? While all the other mosques which were built in Abbasid reign direct towards Mecca?
What is the story behind the word becca? Which means weeping? Or did the Abbasid change that word to mecca?
