According to Ghamidi sahab the hadiths are weak and there is no Quranic injunction (that’s not according to ghamidi sahab it’s just a fact).

Recently Ghamidi sb. has expressed his views that after seeing all the narrations on Mahdi, he thinks Umar bin Abdul Aziz was the true misdaq of those narrations.

Not that I am aware of but @Sohail Sahab is a more competent authority in these matters.

I think detailed work by Ghamidi sb. or Hassan Ilyas might be published as ‘Hadith project’ progresses. In the mean time pls. consider Umer’s video posted above or look for my next comment for link to the post that includes Tammana Immadi’s book/pdf dealing w/ Mahdi issue.
