Biddat is what we present something new as a commandment of Religion. But Ghamidi sb said that Shab e Barat is not biddat it’s Misinterpretation of some Ahadith. So how do we differentiate between these two things. If someone interprets a commandment from some Zaeef Ahadith or Sahih Ahadith then it can’t be biddat?

Secondly, ‘Zaif’ Hadith can neither be attributed to the Prophet (pbuh) nor can they be used to justify any religious matter. Please refer to the following thread regarding the principles of understanding Hadith:

Is Quran Khani a biddah? It was termed as Biddah by Umar bhai sometime ago. But it also includes some istadlal! So it won’t be a biddah? Kindly clarify this

Istadlal that Ghamidi Sahab is talking about relates to istadlal from Quran, Sunnah or some Hadith at the very least. Quran Khuwani has no such istadlal.

Oh okay so if istadlal is from Zaeef hadith then it would still be biddat. Right?

If istadlal is from zaef hadith, then right approach would be point out why zaef hadith cannot be be considered a basis for any istadlaal.
