Are The Letters Before Each Surah Are Surah's Name?

۔ سورتوں کے شروع میں یہ حروف جس طرح آئے ہیں اور قرآن نے جگہ جگہ ’ذٰلک‘ اور ’تلک‘ کے ذریعے سے اِن کی طرف جس طرح اشارہ کیا ہے، اُس سے واضح ہے کہ یہ سورتوں کے نام ہیں
I have a three part question. If the letters are Surah’s names, then why secondary names were given to each Surah?
Were the letters meaning lost during the time of prophet Muhammad?
Why are there Surah’s without letters or in another sense without a name?

While nothing can be said with certainty regarding huruf-e-muqattat, Imam Farahi was of the opinion that they are names of the surahs.
