If we, let’s say, add some alcohol to a food for some flavour- then the food itself that it makes will not intoxicate you. It’s the alcohol that would’ve intoxicated you. So now you have this new product that will not intoxicate you but an ingredient in it would have- so we should consider the food item itself as a unit right rather than the individual ingredients?Like vanilla itself can intoxicate but when used as a flavouring it becomes a part of eg a cake or an ice cream.
