Are State Laws Not Based On Morality?
Assalamualaikum

Ghamidi sahab said that laws are made so that one don’t harm the rights of others. But there are some crimes which(to the extent of my knowledge) are morally or religiously wrong but may not harm the rights of one.e.g prostitution, morally and religiously it’s wrong, but is not harming one’s right.

State can only make laws to protect the rights of its citizens. Prostitution violates the rights of children. Besides it generally has a lot of other crimes associated with it. Please refer to the videos in the following discussion:
