Visiting Shrines For Worldly Benefits
I have seen Muslims visiting shrines like shrine of imam Hussein..which is considered mosque and burial site of husayn ibn Ali …also imam ali shrine..they may not be worshipping these shrines..I am not sure if they worship them or not… . But if they visit these shrines thinking as these shrines places are sacred..like if they are ill their illness will be cured by visiting these shrines…will this considered polytheistic belief?

Shrines or graves should be visited in order to pray for the ones who have passed away.
Polytheism is wrong because it is a baseless belief. What would be a credible basis of one’s belief that visiting a shrine will benefit them in any way in this world? None whatsoever.
