If the groom is Sunni and bride is Ismaili – Shia; can the couple get nikkahfied twice? One as per Sunni sect and other as per Ismaili/Shia sect?

Nikah is an open declaration of a contract by a man and a woman to live permanently as husband and wife. Therefore, conducting such activity once is enough for Nikah to be legal in Sharia. If a couple, due to societal reasons have to conduct the ceremony twice, then the second time would only be a formality because Nikah had actually happened when the first time such a declaration was made.

To understand what is Nikah, please refer to the video below from 25:03 to 26:38
