Is Recitation Of Surah After Fatiha Compulsory
Hello, Assalaam u alaykum
My question is that can a Rakat not be valid without surah being read after Fatiha? I have heard that many people mostly only read Fatiha only in 3rd and 4th Rakat of 4 rakah namaz. And also in this famous salafi website it says that it’s not obligatory for namaz yo be valid

We have the practice of the prophet and his companions that they essentially recite Fatiha in prayer. It is prescribed recitation. So there is no reason to leave it nor any need to speculate its position since no one who is standing in the prayer can think to leave it for no reason.
