Punishments Outside Of The Quran E.g. Hanging Of Legwear Below Ankles
Are there any other punishments proscribed than what is mentioned in the Quran? For example according to a Sahih Hadith, our beloved Prophet (SAW) has mentioned that the part of the lower garment that which is below the ankles will be burnt. If done so out of pride will be a more punishable offence. Is this correct?

Islam objects when there is something immoral or unethical. Lowering garments below ankles is nothing in itself, it was a style, then to show pride that was why it was condemned. It is no more a symbol of pride now. So there is no prohibition on lowering garments below ankles anymore. However, if it is still a style of showing off pride somewhere, the same prohibition will be applied.
