Is it wrong in islamic philosophy or quran to think for self and to follow passions and dreams.

Excerpt from the above article : Saying Allāhu Akbar should safeguard us from pride as we will no longer think of ourselves or what we possess as great.

Islam has no objection whatsoever in seeking different pursuits to propser in this world, to keep a hobby, to adopt means to attain full potential of our abilities etc. as long as such endeavours are within ethical bounds and are not in direct conflict with any requirement of religion. Whenever such a clear conflict arises, religion or Akhirah in such instances should be given preference over worldly pursuits and this is the only requirement of religion in this regard.
