Does Release Of Madhi Removes Basic Taharat?
Posted by Saad on June 28, 2023 at 2:14 pmAs in, is release of madhi (sexual fluid due to foreplay/sexual thoughts) taken similar to urinating and one needing to achieve basic taharat immediately or does it only nullify the wudu like passing wind without affecting basic taharat?
I’m refering to this video when talking about basic taharat: Discussion 47366 • Reply 47412

Does Release Of Madhi Removes Basic Taharat?

Which made me ask if madhi is included since if it is, it seems difficult since you would be worrying about Taharat every time you had any sexual thoughts.

Moderator July 3, 2023 at 3:32 amCleanliness should be sought as soon as possible i.e. when one becomes aware of its existence. The thing is that achieving basic purity (cleaning of private parts) should not be unnecessarily delayed. There will be some natural delay in achieving basic purity depending on the nature of impurity, such delay is obvious and hence not considered here.

Contributor July 3, 2023 at 3:37 amWell personally, I have to relieve myself anyway every few hours and whenever I am in the bathroom or if it is time for Salah, I always check for any impurity and clean accordingly before wuzu/ghusl. But if I were to go seek Taharat everytime I feel a wetness on my genital (madhi) then I would be visiting the bathroom several times on certain days.

But I have a question regarding ibadah point you made if you have time, is there a need for special precaution only at the start of it? Because logically, you would be facing impurities during the fast and obviously you would do Taharat everytime it is needed but in that case, seeking Taharat every few hours (from madhi) is a normal delay as well there or are you required to decrease the delay because of taking part in an ibadah like fasting/tawaf?

Moderator July 3, 2023 at 4:23 amBy fasting it meant at the start of fasting, if there is any need for cleaning, it should be done. Usually, such cleaning is done from time to time in normal course of day without any unnecessary delays, but when about to start an ibadah for which it is a condition, just an extra precaution to make sure one is clean. And then it is only natural if one stays extra conscious during the day (this should not be confused with unnecessary doubts of impurity).
