Do we have to obey everything, even if it is wrong, that the government implements?

Whenever there is a law which, according to a Muslim, goes against his or her religious obligations, then using deception to circumvent that law is in itself a sin committed by that Muslim. The right ethical approach in such instances is to openly declare such laws as violation of one’s religious freedom and be ready to face the consequences as well if one chooses not to abide by such laws in a peaceful manner. An example would be how Muhammad Ali chose to face legal consequences when he denied being drafted for Vietnam war. Deception is only allowed in Iztirar i.e. when it becomes a matter of life or death for the person.
It is for you to honestly decide which category banning of “X” falls for you and what is the right ethical course of action for you in the light of the above discussion and in the light of the videos provided in the following thread:

Is it only for a common man to obey the rules and not for the government officials?
Think how much time of an individual in Pakistan would be wasted if they want to start something on X, a writing account or personal brand etc, or they are currently running their professional account, just by waiting for this government to unblock X. And that’s also possible they might not unblock in their regime.

If it is not officially blocked via proper law and officials are themselves using it through VPN, then there is no harm if a common citizen also uses it.
