Assalamu alaikum, respected scholars. I have a question regarding lottery tickets in Islam. If I purchase a lottery ticket with the intention of using any potential winnings for charitable purposes, such as building a mosque, supporting orphans, or funding Islamic education, would the act of buying the ticket still be considered haram (forbidden) or would it be considered halal (permissible)?

Furthermore if money which we are using to buy ticket is being used in saving coral environment then still it’s haram? Means they are claiming that our money has been used in saving marine life in UAE then is it halal?

Lottery ticket is gambling and it is haram. Gambling in the time of the prophet was too was played to distribute the meat of the camels among poor and needy. Still Allah forbade it by telling us that its sin is greater than its benefits. A good intention cannot make a haram a halal.
