  • The Shariah Of Preaching: (2) Preaching Obligation Of Abraham’s Progeny

In an article, it is mentioned that the preaching obligation of Abraham’s Progeny, that is, the Israelites and Ismaelites, is to preach Islam to non-Muslims. Who are the Ismaelites in today’s world? Is the whole Muslim ummah considered Ismaelites? The second part of the question is whether the status of Shahada is still there in this world, or has it ended with the companions of the prophet Muhammad? If so, doesn’t it suggest that no one has the responsibility to preach the message of Islam in today’s world?

The Arabs especially the Quresh are the Ishmaelites.

The status of Shahdah of progeny of Abraham is permanent till the day of judgement. It is declared in the Qur’an that they are the Shuhada for the whole mankind.

If you are referring to Quran 2:143, it says that the Muslim community is the “middle nation,” and that Muslims are witnesses over all of humanity. Is this “middle nation” a reference to the companions of the prophet Muhammad?

Here we see the word An naas is used. Is the Alif Lam in this word used to indicate a period, such as the people who were contemporaries of the Prophet Muhammad?
